Last week I got lucky & won passes to see Kung Fu Panda. The boys were thrilled to say the least. It was my first time seeing an advanced screening of a movie. There definitely is a strategy to it. I redeemed our passes early yesterday morning at the box office. We got to the theatre early as well. Good thing it is located inside a mall ... Chris hung out with the boys at the indoor play area while I grabbed a spot in line. Was the extra 'work' worth it? YES! The movie is super cute. I *LOVE* Jack Black! He is hilarious. Staying true to American consumerism, I bought Mike some Kung Fu Panda action figures yesterday too. The boys get a good giggle when they see the previews on TV for the movie. When the voice says, "Coming June 6th", they say, "We saw it three days early!"
I have been in the process of re-organizing my craft room. When I say "process", I mean that I started. [& haven't finished].
Today's the day. The day to get it done.
So then just maybe, I can scrapbook! I have a long list of thank you cards to get out as well.
And in really, really, really EXCITING news, Chris & I are on countdown to a vacation.
Yes. You read correctly. Vacation. As in Chris & I. As in, JUST THE TWO OF US!
It is a belated graduation gift [from the Tucson Fire Academy]. I had the idea to surprise him last year with a trip to NYC. Only it was bad timing. Chris was still under a lot of stress, getting ready to go 'on shift'. He also had 2 Module Exams and Oral Board's to get through. I didn't believe that a year could go by so quickly. But it has! Chris is just about to go off of 'Probationary Firefighter' status. Yay! We are fortunate enough to have a dear friend who has an apartment in NYC ... right off of Central Park! She won't be in the city while we are there & offered it to us! It's a short trip ... five days, four nights. But it will be jam-packed! We are catching a
Yankee's game, seeing some of Chris' family, & going to
The Met for starters.
And just because I can't post without pictures ... here are some fun one's of the boys!
